Monthly Meetings
Cloverbuds

Cloverbuds will meet on October 10th at the Paola Office from 5:30-6:30pm. Cloverbuds must be 5-6 years old by Jan. 1, 2020

Miami County Jr Leader Meeting will be October 14th at 7pm at the Paola Office

Linn County Jr Leader Meeting will be October 20th at 4pm at the Linn County 4-H Building
4-H Council
Miami County 4-H Council will be September 9th at 8pm at the Paola Office

Linn County 4-H Council will be September 25th at 7pm at the Linn County 4-H Building.
4-H Enrollment

Tomorrow starts the new 4-H year!!!! Make sure you get on 4-H Online to get re-enrolled.

Be on the lookout for an email from Karla about information about enrollment for the new 4-H year.

Miami County Fair - July 18-25, 2020
Photography Workshop

Interested in learning more about photography come to our Workshop taught by a 4-H Alumni Allison Wakefield. She will cover what judges are looking for at the fair and photography terms. Then some photo stations where you can practice what you have learned. Will be held on January 3, 2020 at 1:00pm.

Cloverbuds in Mound City

October 15th at 5:30pm

We are looking into trying Cloverbuds in Mound City. If you have a child or know of someone that is 5-6 years old by January 1, 2020 and interested in 4-H please come to the Mound City Office. We will go over what we do at Cloverbud Meetings and what 4-H is.
Clay Class
Save the date
October 19th from 9-11am at Prairie View Middle School. Cost will be $5 and class is limited to 20 participants.

Glazing will be on November 16th

Registration information will be sent out via email later this week
Handmade Christmas
We are going to be hosting a Homemade Christmas event to give any youth ages 5-18 the opportunity to make some crafts. This event will be on December 7th at the Paola Extension Office. Make sure and save the date.

More information to come at a later date.
Linn County
Achievement Night
Achievement Night will be November 20th at 7:00pm following 4-H Council.

4-H Council
We will be having the elections of officers and any youth can be up for election. We will going over enrollment for the 4-H year as well as Financial Reviews, Officer Training and starting the new year.

Clothing Drive
Junior Leaders will be having their annual clothing drive November 3rd at the Linn County 4-H Building. If you would like to make a clothing donation please contact the Mound City Office.
Miami County
Achievement Celebration/4-H Sunday
Will be October 13th at the Miami County Fairgrounds starting with 4-H Sunday at 3:00pm.

Club Duties
Invitations: Hillsdale Hustlers (must be sent out by Sept. 20)
Set-up (at 1:30): Busy Beavers, Pathfinders and Franklin
Decorations (at 2:00): Explorers, Spring Hill Rangers and Middle Creek Monarchs
Prep & Serve Refreshments (at 3:00): New Horizons, Progressive, Happy-Go-Getters
Clean-up: Twin Valley, Mound Builders, Shooting Sports, and Trailblazers

Miami County Ambassadors Looking for new members
The Miami County Ambassadors are looking for 4-H'ers who are 8th grade or above to apply to become a Miami County Ambassador and serve a 2 year term. Application
Applications are due by October 14th to the Paola Office
48 Hours of 4-H Community Service Project
Busy Beavers will accept the 48 Hours of 4-H Service Challenge!! 
We will have a clean-up and work day at the Paola Community Garden--1201 Industrial Drive, Paola. We will meet on  Saturday, October 12, 2019, 8:00-11:00 am followed by a picnic/sack lunch
Please wear  old shoes , your a green shirt, gloves, sun protection, bring lots of water to stay hydrated and don’t forget to bring your sack lunch! We will eat together when we are finished. There will be a hose provided to wash up.  This counts towards record books, pin apps and you can talk about it in your KAP!  Please text or email Annabelle & Gavin Shaw with any questions: 913-706-9289 or  [email protected]  
Club Financial Reviews
Club Financial Reviews are due by November 1, 2019. Forms are available on https://www.maraisdescygnes.k-state.edu/4-h/club-leader-resources/index.html . All clubs including Project Clubs that have a bank account must fill out a form to continue being a chartered club according to Kansas 4-H Policies.

Officer Training Date
The District-wide Officer Training will be November 10 at 2pm at Linn County Fairgrounds.

Window Displays & Posters
Pictures of Club Window Displays and 4-H Week Posters are due to Devin by October 8th. Displays and posters must be in place on October 7th. Email pictures along with your name and where the display is located to [email protected]. Winners will be recognized at your local Achievement Night.
