For Generations to Know

Exodus 16:31-36
Upon reading that Aaron was told to fill a pot with an omer of manna for the generations, it came to mind that the Lord wanted the Israelites to remember something, but what? The Lord wanted them to know how he had provided for the forefathers of the generations to come, that they might serve him. Families of today need to share with their children how God has provided for them, especially Jesus for salvation. This should be passed down from generation to generation.

As I have researched the history of the Advent Christian churches that I have pastored over the years, I have come to the sad realization that much history was never recorded or was carelessly handled. Such records could encourage the generations to read about where their church came from, what it has done, and rejoice in the opportunity to be a part of where it is headed. The Bible has survived through the ages giving us our history and our future.

You are making history, enjoy life and pass it on.
