Exodus 6:2-9
As I have gotten older, I've found my ability to hear others has annoyingly diminished. The use of hearing aids has become a necessity. But now I find it equally annoying at times because I'm able to hear things I'd just as soon miss.

From a Christian standpoint, the same thing can happen as we grow older in our lives with Christ. Either as a result of complacency because things are going well at the moment, or because of our discouragement and continual "groaning" when we feel our lives are so hard, we sometimes become deaf to what the Lord is trying to tell us. When we pray for help, we need to do so with expectation and anticipation of what God has in store. We need to stop talking and listen to what HE is saying. And when we aren't particularly happy with his reply, we need to trust that he loves us and sent his Son that we "may have life, and have it to the full!"

God is good all the time! All the time, God is good!
