Increase Your Obedience

Exodus 13:1-10
As I continue this reading of Moses' adventure with the exodus, I am amazed at the strength that Moses had to be obedient. He continually had to go before this enormous group of people and relay God's commands. He led these people to be obedient because he was committed to being obedient. I know that Moses was definitely not perfect, but God used him mightily because Moses did what was difficult and unpleasant out of obedience. God wanted his people to be pure and thus demanded the yeast to be left behind. The yeast represented sin. God wanted the people to remember year after year what he had done for them. Do we remember day after day what God has done for us? Is there something tangible that you can do to remind yourself and thus increase your obedience to God's words?

Oh Lord, give us a reminder that helps us increase our obedience to you.
