Our foes are many. We as individuals can be our biggest foe. As a Christian, our foe is the devil, as he continually tempts us to disobey God.

We are blessed as Christians to have a hedge of protection around us as God is our shield. Each day, we enter the battlefield of life and face many obstacles. With our Sustainer, we are able to be successful in our daily walk, especially if we place our trust in our Savior.

"Trust and obey, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey." ("Hymns of Heritage & Hope" #634)

Our most gracious heavenly Father, help us in our daily walk to defeat Satan with you being our shield. We know that nothing is impossible with you. Thank you, Lord, for all you do for us. In Jesus' name, amen.
