Are you prepared for when the enemy strikes? Abram was. When Abram learned of Lot's capture by the enemy, Abram mobilized his 318 trained men. Abram didn't have to take time to train them once he heard of Lot's imprisonment. He had trained men at the ready. We also need to be prepared for the enemy's attack. However, our enemy is not flesh and blood like the one Abram and his men fought. Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." The Bible is our training tool against our enemy. Thankfully, the same God who defeated Abram's enemy has defeated ours once and for all through Jesus Christ. However, our enemy is going to continue to attack until Christ's return. Therefore, we must be ready for battle at any moment.
"In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross" (Colossians 2:15 NLT).
