“Offer the sacrifice of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord” (Psalm 4:5).
The Christian family at worship in the church has great significance in our day. The Christian family as a unit in our society exerts a stabilizing force in this day of unrest and conflict.
The Christian family that goes to church regularly, and then consistently maintains a Christian home life, becomes a witness for Christ and an influence for blessing in the community. Righteousness is what our country needs. It honors God and is recognized by him as a spiritual gift — “a sacrifice of righteousness.” The example encourages other families to live righteously.
The blessing comes in a trust in God at all times. When sickness or troubles come, God is a present help reached through prayer. And what greater blessing for happiness than to commit each member of the family each day to God’s care and guidance, and at night to go to rest in peace!
Our country needs your family witness of righteousness in Christ. May he bless your home.
Dear Father, we give thanks that thou art holy and art mindful of our family’s desire to live righteously to honor thee. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
