Do Not Forsake the Lord
Tuesday, October 20, 2015

The word "forsake" means to abandon, give up or denounce. Our God is a jealous God. He does not want us to forsake him. We can do this by filling our lives with stuff, by not making the time to sit at his feet and worship him. Daily, we need to be in his Word and in his presence through prayer. Daily, I talk to God in the form of what I call popcorn prayers - constantly thanking him for all the blessings he provides. If you know and serve him, you do not have to have a "formal" prayer ... just talk to him. HE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!

Father, I love you and ask in advance for your forgiveness for not spending enough time with you. You take care of me even when I am absent. I am so undeserving of your love and attention, but I am so blessed to be your child. Thank you for all you do for me.
