Where are You?

Genesis 3:1-19
Wow!! What an experience to deal with, disobeying the Lord. Then to hear the sound of his walking in the garden must have been overwhelming. Can our minds even grasp this? We can cover ourselves with whatever today's fig leaves are, or hide ourselves in our compromising bunkers, but the Holy Spirit just doesn't let up; "where are you?" Really? Like he doesn't know? Of course, when we own up, we can always resort to plan B, the good old blame game (vs. 12). Well, you see Lord, this woman you gave me just doesn't measure up, she made me do it!! However, in the midst of all the deceit and cover-ups we're assured a way of escape (vs. 15). What a loving God filled with grace and forgiveness. We can taste it and claim it, but we really don't have a clue what's in store for us. When Paul tried to explain what the kingdom life will be like, he said: "No one's ever seen or heard anything like this, never so much as imagined anything quite like it - What God has arranged for those who love him" (1 Cor. 2:9).

Thank you Lord for finding me, giving me hope and eternal life.
