Moses found himself a very tired man after leading the people out of Egypt with God's guidance, being in the wilderness, and listening to the grumbling of the people. Leadership is hard in good times, but add problems like this trip had, and you have a major headache. But God worked all things out for Moses by bringing his father-in-law there to help guide him.
Jethro saw the burden Moses had in leading the people and acting as their judge, so, being used of God, he gave Moses wise guidance. Moses had the wisdom to listen to Jethro, thus lifting a great burden.
Are there burdens that you carry that load you down? Learn from Moses and share your load with others, be it God or other Christians. When God puts others in your life to help, be wise like Moses and listen to them.
Dear Lord, open my eyes to those who you have placed in my life to help carry my burdens.
