Faithfully Blessing Others
Tuesday, April 5, 2016

Ruth faithfully stayed by Naomi's side as she promised. While gleaning in a nearby field, Ruth caught the notice of Boaz. He learned of Ruth's story and saw to it that his workers took care of her. Ruth asked why Boaz would show such kindness to a Moabite. Boaz told Ruth he had heard about how she left all that she knew and came with Naomi to a land that was not her own. It was because of Ruth's faithfulness that Boaz became a blessing to both Ruth and Naomi.

God blesses faithfulness. God also blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. Ruth was faithful. She became a blessing to Naomi. Because of her faithfulness, Ruth was blessed by Boaz. Boaz was faithful to God's command to care for widows. God blessed him with the ability to make sure Ruth and Naomi had what they needed.

No matter how much or how little God gives us, we must use all we have to faithfully be a blessing to others.

"May the LORD reward your work, and your wages be full from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge" (Ruth 2:12 NASB).
