Psalm 20
Allow me to vent for a moment. Why can't people be as nice as I would like them to be? Why must we have to deal with such drama all the time? And what about the terrible drivers on the road; are they just out to get me? Hate and tirades come from every direction because I have opinions different from others; will this never end?

I remember a time in my life when I would get exasperated by my wife's aunt, who would be praising God about every little thing. Praise the Lord for the parking space in front of the store! Praise the Lord for letting her find shoes that fit! Praise the Lord, for this and that!! Oh come on. But then I had a life changing experience when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and I couldn't help but to praise the Lord for his forgiveness and my salvation.

The people rise up in today's scripture and proclaim the virtues of David's God. They realize how David and the people have been blessed if they seek the Lord. They proclaim no matter what comes our way, we can still praise the Lord. Look at the blessings listed in this Psalm and realize that we, too, are continually blessed by the God who hears our prayers.
No matter what happens today, let's just praise the Lord.

"I will praise Him because He loves me, He has given life to me."
