We are familiar with the story of Job. He had lost everything that this world has to offer. He lost his possessions, his children and his health. His friends came to visit him, but instead of offering compassion, support and comfort, they added to his misery. When Christ dwells within us, we are to be his ambassadors here on Earth. We should spread his love compassion and support to those we meet. Especially when we are blessed with true friends. We expect to be able to depend on our friends. Are we "fair-weather friends" like Job's friends? Or are we showing true friendship as Christ directed? Are we willing to put ourselves out, to be at a disadvantage or to become uncomfortable to help a friend? When a friend asks you for prayers, do you remember and pray? Your friends should be able to depend on you, the way you depend on them. We have a friend who is "closer than a brother." Share his friendship to everyone you meet. Be a blessing to your friends, as they are a blessing to you.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being my friend - a friend I can depend on in all situations. Help me to be the friend to others that I should be. In Jesus' name, amen.
