... but words can never hurt you. Oh, really? We can be swayed from our beliefs, our opinions, political views, and on and on and on, just by listening to words spoken by others. Sometimes this can be a good thing, but often being influenced by erroneous ideas into changing our own precepts can end up hurting us.

Job's friend was truly trying to help, but it is obvious that he just did not get it. Job's words were an expression of his faith. If God were to speak to us and reveal the answers to all the mysteries of his wisdom, there would be no reason for faith. Job did not listen to Zophar and his other "comforters" and therefore, in the end, he was rewarded for his steadfast faith.

We need to hold tight to our faith and not be influenced by lies so ingenious that they sound like truth.

Faith is the glorious victory that overcomes the world.
