In the Mediterranean region we are blessed with a staggering 93% of the approximately 800 million olive trees in the world. The humble olive has been around forever (4000Bc) and has the distinction of being the oldest tree in cultivation in the Western Hemisphere. It has been the subject of mythology and a sign of longevity. Its oil has anointed kings, polished finely cut diamonds and been used in medicinal balms and the manufacture of soaps.


La palabra aceite proviene del t�rmino �rabe az-zait, de ra�z hebrea, y significa jugo de aceituna. El calificativo virgen, atribuido al aceite de oliva, implica que en el proceso de elaboraci�n no se han empleado productos qu�micos artificiales. El aceite de oliva natural no s�lo es beneficioso por sus virtudes alimenticias, tambi�n posee extraordinarias propiedades curativas y saludables. Hasta la cosm�tica lo ha secuestrado. Mitad alimento, mitad medicina.

MEET OUR OLIVE OIL PRODUCER
PEP SOLIVELLAS

From a privileged location very close to the Mediterranean Sea and to the Sierra de Tramontana, the Solivellas Family grows and produces its extra virgin olive oils on the Es Guinyent Estate.
The gentle sea breeze flows through the olive trees and cools their fruits in the hot summer nights. The rains and the wind from the Sierra de Tramontana, combined with the luminosity of the sunny climate of Mallorca, balance the intensity and flavour of the oil.


Desde un privilegiado enclave, muy cerca del mar Mediterr�neo y de la Serra de Tramuntana, la familia Solivellas cosecha y elabora sus aceites extra v�rgenes en la finca Es Guinyent. La suave brisa del mar ventila los olivos y atempera su fruto en las calurosas noches de verano. Las lluvias y los vientos de la Serra de Tramuntana, as� como la luminosidad del soleado clima de Mallorca equilibran el aceite en toda su intensidad y sabor.
