Volunteer Opportunity at Mile Bluff
Volunteers play a critical role in both the administrative and healthcare functions at Mile Bluff. They share their talents to help deliver high-quality patient care and perform a variety of tasks at various Mile Bluff locations.
If you are 14 years of age or older, there are many ways you can make a difference at Mile Bluff. You can help by reading to patients and residents, working in the medical library, typing, delivering mail and flowers, stocking shelves, making copies, bringing reading materials to patients and residents, and much more.
The staff at Mile Bluff appreciates all the hard work that is put in by volunteers. There is no experience necessary, just a desire to give your time and talents to those who are in need. You are able to choose the times that best suit your schedule, between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm.
If you are a high school student and curious about what is offered in the medical field, volunteering is a good place to start. Students often spend time volunteering at Mile Bluff to earn credits or meet graduation requirement, as well as see what truly goes on in the healthcare world. If you are involved in other educational programs - like virtual high school - and need volunteer hours, Mile Bluff offers you a great opportunity.
If you are retired and looking for a way to stay active while giving back to the community, think about volunteering. At Mile Bluff, you get to work with a variety of great people, and you can really make a difference in the lives of others in your community.
Mile Bluff is always accepting new volunteers to help make a difference. If you are interested in joining Mile Bluff’s team of volunteers, or would like more information on the opportunities available, please call 608-562-3667 today. There are options available for individuals and groups of all ages.

From
DNR Business Sustainability and Business Support Team
–
We know you work hard to connect your customers with resources. When it comes to environmental information, we have tools you can use to make it easier. The Department of Natural Resources has non-regulatory staff dedicated to helping your customers become more efficient, resilient and sustainable.
Managing environmental efforts is always evolving, and staff want to help your customers wherever they are on the path to sustainability. So, no matter if they are inquiring about the need for permits, striving to reduce their risk, or thriving with their environmental performance, we have tools to meet their needs. Our
services
include:
- Enviro-Check – a proactive program enables participants to assess their operation’s environmental impact while also limiting their liability.
- Green Tier – recognizes businesses that go above and beyond environmental regulations and helps them get even better.
We hope you share the tools below with your customers to empower them with information that can help them reduce their environmental risks and contribute to a healthy Wisconsin.
- Our Business Resources website: Add us to your resource and relocation guides – we can make business transitions easy. Need a quick description to go with the link? We suggest: “DNR’s business services provide non-regulatory assistance to businesses striving to comply with environmental regulations and improve their overall impact on the environment.”
- Articles to share: Whether you get information to your customers electronically or on paper, by newsletter or by blog, we have information to assist you. We will regularly post ready-to-publish articles in our online collection. This month’s article talks about the many services available to businesses. Upcoming pieces will focus on specific programs or opportunities. Feel free to shorten them if space is at a premium. We have also included downloadable images in the online collection so you can add a visual element when using the articles.
- Printed material: Your organization should have received samples of our new brochure introducing our suite of business services. If you did not receive yours or would like to order more to share with your customers, contact DNRBusinessSupport@wisconsin.gov.
- In-person presentations: If your members or customers are interested in hearing firsthand about how we can help, just let us know. Our pool of presenters is available for your next meeting or conference – just contact DNRBusinessSupport@wisconsin.gov.
Whether a business is brand new, relocating, or expanding, we can make their efforts easier by helping navigate environmental regulations. Watch for more information in coming months on how our programs can help you guide your customers down the path to environmental success.
Sincerely,
Your
DNR Business Sustainability and Business Support Team
