Place of Hope Lane Outreach Center
Palm Beach Gardens, FL
March 23,  2017

Melissa Kostelia, Planner

The Place of Hope Lane Outreach Center was unanimously approved at the Board of County Commissioners hearing on Thursday March 23, 2017. The Place of Hope is a faith-based, state-licensed children's organization that provides family-style foster care, family outreach, maternity care, safety for victims of domestic minor sex trafficking and hope and healing for children and families in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

The Place of Hope organization, established in 1999, has outgrown their facilities and intentionally choose to build additional administrative offices on the 2.27-acre property west of Military Trail and south of Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, within close proximity of three of their other sites. The request for a future land use map amendment and rezoning to the Commercial Low Office designation was approved along with a Conditional Use for 18,000 square feet of Professional Office.

The architecture was designed in the Florida vernacular theme with tower features, clad simulated wood and dark bronze Bahama shutters.  The site plan was designed with two buildings and an internal courtyard. Two large date palms are featured within the courtyard and Italian cypress trees, podocarpus columns and agave accent the clean lines of the architecture.

Construction is anticipated to start Summer 2017.
