Elizabeth Cogswell Baskin, CEO & Executive Creative Director at Tribe, Inc. and a friend of Hyperion Bank – recently spoke to Charlie Crawford’s Georgia State University class, “Scaling a New Venture,” in the school’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute.
“Elizabeth answered 73 questions from these aspiring entrepreneurs and then turned the tables and asked them questions,” Charlie says. “It is wonderful to see an entrepreneur like Elizabeth giving back to the next generation – and she always makes learning fun and engaging.”
Tribe is an internal communications firm with deep experience helping global & national brands. Elizabeth also is the author of several books, including "Hell Yes! Two Little Words for a Simpler, Happier Life," and “Run Your Business Like a Girl," which profiles female entrepreneurs.
Charlie – the bank’s Chairman & CEO – has had a number of impressive guest speakers sharing their real-world wisdom with his class and received the Harvey Brightman Part-Time Instructor Teaching Award at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business Fall 2023 faculty meeting.

For Women’s History Month, Hyperion’s Lee Green & Nicole Leitz attended the PHL Chamber of Commerce lunch for the City’s first woman mayor, Cherelle Parker –#Philadelphia’s 100th mayor. Noting that Mayor Parker’s comments were quite powerful, Nicole says, “She made a comment I found insightful…that it is ‘taboo’ for women to ask for help. It’s a good reminder that everyone needs an assist from time to time – just ask! Collaboration makes us all stronger.”
