Alberta Energy Information Bulletin 2020-01: MRF Drilling & Completion Cost Enhancement Project Go-Live
|
On January 29, 2020, AE announced that an updated format for the Modernized Royalty Framework (MRF) Drilling and Completion Costs (DCC) submissions will be ready for users to access in the Petrinex on
February 6, 2020.
Information Bulletin 2019-02
provides the context for these changes. After February 6, 2020, BA User Security Administrators (USAs) will need to modify the DCC roles and user access to allow the assigned users to access the new functionality. DCC submissions annual deadline is April 30, 2020

SK: Oil Analysis Disclosure Question – Removed (IRIS)
|
On February 5, 2020 the Ministry of Energy and Resources (ER) announced that the oil analysis disclosure question will no longer be asked. Pursuant to the revised Directive PNG017, there is no longer an obligation to conduct an oil analysis on a new oil well completion. However, the ER can still request an operator to conduct an analysis.

SK: BT 2020-004 Facility Licence Requirement for Sites Flaring Gas
|
On March 4, 2020, the Ministry of Energy and Resources (ER) announced that in addition to meeting the requirements of Directive S-20, facilities flaring and/or venting greater than
900 m
3
/day
of gas containing greater than
10 moles/kilomole of H2S
are required to submit additional data at the time of licencing as part of the facility licence application.
