Have you heard of the NACCC College Assistance Fund? It is a brand-new resource for students in need. Partnering together to create this fund are Olivet College, Piedmont College and the NACCC. Both colleges have students who need support for daily expenses such as books, food or housing, or for participation in enrichment programs such as service, study abroad, or internships. To help meet these very important needs the College Assistance Fund has been created. Churches and individuals who want to help students can now donate to this fund. If education is important to you, this may be a good way for you to support it. With your donations, more and more students will have a fulfilling and worry-free college experience. How to donate can be found on the NACCC,Olivet andPiedmontwebsites.
Task Teams & Committees Making a Difference
Edith Bartley, Board of Governors
The Board of Governors (BOG) of the Congregational Foundation has several projects currently underway. It has a task team working to develop vision and purpose statements for the Foundation. Jointly with the Board of Directors, a task team is examining the current relationship between the two Boards, with the goal of continuing to increase the communication between them and improving the working relationship on behalf of our donors. Our Development and Communications Committee is developing a short, concise fundraising guide as a reference manual for NACCC boards and councils. And at this year’s
Annual Meeting and Conference, the BOG is again sponsoring a refreshment break, this year featuring Whoopie pies (personally funded by BOG members).
