Imago Dei Middle School
Presented by
Randy Peterson
Saturday, March 8, 2025, 3 pm
Room 203, Continental Shopping Plaza, Green Valley

Founded in 2006, Imago Dei is a small, independent, tuition-free private school in Tucson offering grades 4-8 for children from low-income, under-resourced families. Although founded in the Episcopal tradition, Imago Dei admits children of diverse faiths, races, cultures, and cognitive profiles.
Helping children achieve their full potential, thereby stabilizing and strengthening their families and our community as a whole, is the purpose of the school.
| |
|
Low-income children with similar demographics in Pima County achieve a high school graduation rate around 70%. But more than 96% of Imago Dei alumni old enough to have done so have graduated high school. More than 85% are pursuing college or career training.
Randy Peterson has been the Development Officer for Imago Dei Middle School in Tucson, Arizona since 2022. He brings more than 25 years of nonprofit fundraising and management experience to the role, including work in Southern Arizona with KXCI Community Radio, Humane Society of Southern Arizona and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona.
***The collection wagon will be available for your contributions of items for the Refugee Resettlement Program of Lutheran Social Services***

WE CARE Campaign in March:
Refugee Resettlement
Lutheran Social Services
The Tucson Refugee Resettlement program run by Lutheran Social Services is responsible for helping 130 families (388 refugees) as they resettle in this area. These are not people who have come across the southern border, but people who have been fully vetted and allowed in by our government. Their federal funding has been cut off, perhaps only for 90 days, perhaps forever, by the current administration.
Items we are asking for:
- Non-perishable food, any of the things you might ordinarily bring for the FoodBank.
- Hygiene items
- Cleaning supplies
- Gift cards, best would be from Walmart
They are also in need of funds, which we are not collecting, but you can go to their website https://www.lss-sw.org/ and donate directly.
Please bring your donations to Headquarters and put them in or next to the blue wagon. You may also bring your donations to any program meeting.
Thank you!
Judy Knape, VP Headquarters

Thank you to those of you have already renewed your membership and a big welcome to the many new members who have recently joined. At this point we have over 200 members, but this is only about one third of the total count for last year.
Our goal is to get to the 50% mark by the first of April! It really is doable. Please renew now online via Act Blue, by going to Headquarters, or during GVD meetings.
Thanks for your continued support!
