“How Do We Decide? Discerning Commitment”
The Rev. Jennifer Nordstrom
Alissa Rhode, Lead Music Director
Amy Wilbourne, Worship Associate

Making a real commitment is serious business, so we must take discernment seriously. What tools do you use to choose when to say yes, and when to say no? How do you know when you’ve reached capacity? When we need to decide together as a people, what discernment tools can we use? Join us for this service where we will explore how to say yes and how to say no, how to discern what is worth our time and energy, and how to share commitments.

ZOOM COFFEE HOUR AT 11:00. Once you enter the Zoom meeting, Lynne will coordinate smaller groups of five or six for conversation. Members, guests, visitors are all welcome! Bring your own coffee. Link to Join HERE.

Shepherd Express: Milwaukee’s Forum for Progress, presented by Dave Luhrssen, Managing Editor.

The Shepherd Express has a long history dating back to the early 1980s. Over the years, the Shepherd Express grew into Wisconsin’s third largest newspaper in circulation and became a forum for Milwaukee’s music scene, performing arts, and progressive politics. When COVID-19 struck Wisconsin, the Shepherd Express suspended its weekly print edition and pivoted to becoming a daily website. In August, defying the shopworn cliché that “print is dead,” the Shepherd Express returned to the physical world as a glossy monthly magazine that preserves familiar aspects of the old newspaper packaged in a new format. COVID CANDLE ON SUNDAYS. Because of the ways our lives are touched by loss and grief during the global pandemic, we have a simple ritual during Sunday worship called the “COVID Candle” when it is needed. During this unique time, when people cannot gather with their family and community to mourn, we offer to light the COVID Candle for any death of a loved one of one of our members. If you have had a loved one die from COVID-19, or any other cause of death, and would like the COVID Candle lit in their honor during Sunday worship, please contact one of the Ministers.
