Seeking Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Lent is a time to accept God’s call and evaluate our lives. We need to spend time in prayer and discern how God is calling us to serve His people. Through our Baptism we have the privilege and the responsibility to minister to the Church. If you feel called to serve, consider serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Like yourself, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are parishioners, who assist the priest at Mass with the distribution of Holy Communion to those who are attending Mass. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion may also bring Communion to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass. Parishioners who are sick or homebound. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion bring God’s presence to others.

God speaks to us in the silence of our hearts. Is God calling you to serve?

Representatives of this ministry will be available in the gathering space after all the Masses the weekend of March 16th & 17th to answer questions or concerns you may have regarding this special ministry.

Need Some Peace and Quiet?

“Be still and know that I am God.” ~ Psalm 46:10

Retreat at Loyola Jesuit Center

Please join others from our parish family for a quiet listening retreat at Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown on March 22-24. Loyola is a tranquil place where you can slow down, be quiet and still with God, and experience His deep peace. The weekend offers preached talks on a theme, Jesuits offering daily Mass, Reconciliation, a Healing Mass, and optional private consultations with retreat leaders, outdoor stations of the cross and generous amounts of free time for personal prayer and reflection.

This is a special gift you can give yourself by taking time away from one's busy life. In the silence we hear His voice and gain understanding and peace. This weekend will be co-ed. All are welcome and no one is ever turned away if the suggested donation is beyond your means.

If interested, please go HERE. For any questions please call the parish office: (732) 842-3963 and ask for Steve Salese's contact information.

Prayer to St. Joseph

Dearest St. Joseph,

At the word of an angel you lovingly took Mary into your home. As God’s humble servant, you guided the Holy Family on the road to Bethlehem,

welcomed Jesus as your own son

in the shelter of a manger,

and fled far from your homeland

for the safety of both Mother and Child.

We praise God that as their faithful protector,

you never hesitated to sacrifice

for those entrusted to you.

May your example inspire us also

to welcome, cherish, and safeguard

God’s most precious gift of life.

Help us to faithfully commit ourselves

to the service and defense of human life

—especially where it is

vulnerable or threatened.

Obtain for us the grace

to do the will of God in all things.

Amen.
