Project Connect in Tempe a Great Success

Project Connect is a one-day event offering wrap-around services to people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Project Connect meets people where they are with essential services, from state identification to housing placement. The event takes places in a different Valley location every 4-6 weeks.

On Tuesday, March 14, 85 volunteers served nearly 150 guests at the University Presbyterian Church (UPC) in Tempe. We are so grateful for UPC, the City of Tempe and all the Campus/community partners and volunteers who helped make this event successful! And we are especially thankful for all the guests who were able to receive life-changing services as they work to end their homelessness.

Take the Community Health Needs Assessment

HSC is appreciative for our long-standing relationship with many facets of Maricopa County. One of those is with the Public Health Department. Please support our partnership by completing this mission critical survey. Public Health is a collaborative effort and partnerships are an essential piece to ensuring community representation. One of the most important ways that the Maricopa County Department of Public Health does this is by conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

A CHNA is a comprehensive data collection effort to identify the strengths, challenges, health priorities, and opportunities to address and improve public health. Every three years, Maricopa County Public Health, in collaboration with healthcare and community partners, conducts a CHNA to develop a deeper understanding from residents about issues that relate to quality of life, availability of vital services, physical and mental health, and more.
