Dear MPH Families,
Acknowledging that today was a departure from our original plan, my MPH colleagues made good use of this time to prepare for the days ahead. In addition to conducting several meetings within departments, all employees met this afternoon via Zoom for information updates and to discuss resources and support as we transition to our distance-learning format. . This information has been excerpted from the CDC website, and I’d ask that you please review and adopt these recommendations for modified behavior when at MPH.
While planning and preparation will be ongoing, Tuesday will be dedicated to supporting students and parents as they gather personal belongings and academic materials. Lower School parents, and Middle and Upper School students and/or parents may come to school tomorrow during the following times:
- 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Middle School students and parents should enter through the McNeil lobby. Upper School students and parents will enter through the Phoenix. If you are unable to pick up items during these times, please contact your division head.
Lower School belongings have been bagged for individual students and will be located in the Bradlee Hallway (2nd-5th) and the Great Space of the Center for Early Learning (PreK, K, 1st).
Middle and Upper School students should completely clean out their lockers and take all belongings and materials home. Many Middle School teachers have left needed class materials, sorted by grade, on tables located in the McNeil lobby. Upper School materials can be found on tables in the Phoenix sorted by department. Student schedules will be available to identify appropriate class materials.
In support of our commitment to practicing social distancing, we will manage the number of people entering our various buildings at any given time. Members of the Administrative Team will help facilitate this process.
I want to thank those of you who have written to provide support in various ways, and I also want to appreciate my colleagues, all of whom continue to demonstrate an extraordinary degree of care and commitment to your children, our students, and their education. We appreciate your partnership as we navigate through these unchartered waters.
