HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Our 2022 build dates are set! We will be building a home in South Phoenix on 10th Ave near Buckeye. Our dates are March 19, April 9, May 7, and June 4. Please email Mark Boyle with questions or to sign up. Habitat also qualifies for the Arizona Charitable Giving Credit on your state taxes.

BORDERLANDS PRODUCE RESCUE

We host another Borderlands this Saturday, March 19, from 6:30 - 11am in the Arcadia parking lot. Volunteers are needed to help pack and distribute approximately 70 pounds of fresh produce. We would love to see you there if you can make it! It’s a great way do some outdoor community service, enjoy the cool mornings, and help with environmental and food justice work in our community. MOVIES IN THE PARK

Wrap up the week with some family fun in the Dayspring Arcadia park with family-friendly movies on the big screen in the Dayspring Arcadia Park at 7:00 during lent. Be sure to bring your blankets and favorite movie snacks! Email Amy for details.

FAMILY PROMISE

We will be hosting Family Promise the week of March 27. Volunteers are needed for set up, tear down, providing entertainment, and overnight hosting. To sign up or ask questions, please email Maria or Howard.

ASYLUM SEEKERS MINISTRY

We are still collecting pants, shirts, blouses, leggings, socks, underwear, belts and shoes for men and women. We need mostly small and medium items and shoes size 10 and smaller. All items should be new or gently used. They may be left off at the Church Office or you may call Pastor Jim O’Neal at (602) 579-3490 to arrange a pickup.

Also, the International Rescue Committee Center is in urgent need of more volunteers. They are seeing several hundred asylum seekers and refugees each day. Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of tasks including transportation, sorting donations, translators (Spanish or Portuguese) and medical assistance. STEPHEN MINISTRY

Stephen Ministers are highly trained members of our congregation who listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support. The care they give is confidential, free, and very helpful. LENTEN DEVOTIONAL

VAN GOGH AND THE BEAUTY OF LENT: Each week, in our lenten devotional, biblical texts and Van Gogh’s work will cast light on each other, pointing toward simple, powerful practices you can try yourself, or with your family or friends. (You can download the devotional; or hard copies are available in the narthex.)

A FUTURE WITH HOPE

Creating a future with hope takes all of us engaging in acts of giving, service, and missions. If you are looking for a way to be in service at church, we will feature a different volunteer opportunity each week:

COFFEE HOSTS

Coffee hosts are needed to help serve refreshments at our coffee fellowship on Sundays. Volunteers can help with any of the following areas:

1. Set-Up

8:45AM – 9:45AM (allow 1 hour)

Preparing beverages and cookies while setting up the cart with needed supplies. One need not start any later than 8:45 AM. However, this job can be done much earlier if let’s say wanting to attend first service.

2. Refreshment Host

10:00–10:30 AM & 11:30–12:00 Noon

(two ½ hour shifts)

This involves greeting people and monitoring and replenishing supplies on the cart following each service.

3. Tear-Down/Clean-Up

12:00 – 1:00 PM (allow 1 hour)

This involves putting away and cleaning all supplies used in conjunction with the refreshment carts.
