Introductions to Today’s Lessons
Ezekiel 37.1-14
It is likely that Ezekiel was among those deported when the Babylonians first took Jerusalem. In exile, his mission was to preach the word of God to bring new life to dead Israel.
Romans 8.6-11
Paul has written that, as a result of God's love shown in the liberating act of Christ's death and resurrection, we are empowered to live a new life in the Spirit, in which we are free from the consequences of sin, from the finality of death and the Law.
John 11.1-45
The raising of Lazarus is the last of John’s signs, given to encourage belief in Christ. This narrative points forward to Jesus’ death and resurrection.

MUSIC AND DRAMA ON PALM SUNDAY
On Sunday, March 29, at our 10:00 am Service of Eucharist, our worship will feature the sparkling brilliance of our handbells as their ringing prepares the way for our opening processional, and with the poignant and reflective sounds of violin and trumpet, as these instrumentalists join the organ and piano in accompanying the choir and congregation in the music of Palm Sunday. The choir will offer Mary McDonald’s jubilant “That’s Where Love Will Find Me,” Patti Drennan’s meditative “Echoes of Golgotha,” and Benjamin Culli’s stunning arrangement of “My Song Is Love Unknown” for choir and congregation. The service will also feature a dramatic reading of the Passion Story by our parishioners.
We hope that you and your family and friends can join us for this moving service as we begin our journey through Holy Week.

Watch at the Altar of Repose
Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go yonder and pray.” And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, “So, COULD YOU NOT WATCH WITH ME ONE HOUR? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
(Matthew 26:36,40-41)
The WATCH will be kept before the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of Repose in the Chapel at Trinity Church from the end of the Maundy Thursday Liturgy on April 2 until 12 o’clock midnight, and then from 5 o’clock in the morning until 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Good Friday, April 3. You are invited to come for silent prayer and meditation before the Sacrament at the Altar in the Chapel. Since the Holy Eucharist is not celebrated on Good Friday, the Blessed Sacrament will be brought back to the Nave Altar for the Administration of Holy Communion toward the end of the Good Friday Liturgy at 7.00pm.
Sign-up sheets are in the Lobby and Table at Rear of Nave.

Annual Women’s Retreat
Save The Date! Women's Retreat is the weekend of May 8-10 and we invite you to join us. Our theme, facilitated by Beth Jones (www.deepgreenjourney.com), is Rooted and Renewed: Step away from the routine and into a sacred space where we will gather to listen, ten and prepare the soil of our lives for what God is growing next.
This retreat invites us to gently explore: What can we do to ready the ground of our hearts for God's movement? How might we cultivate a spirit of openness so our gifts can be used with courage and joy? Through reflection, conversation, and quiet moments we will create room for renewal and discover together how to nurture a heart that is expectant, rooted and ready for God's unfolding work.
Contact Kim Denhardt to express your interest or ask any questions at kdenhardt@gmail.com or 302-367-4408. To reserve your space at the retreat, you can pay by check to Trinity Episcopal Church with 'Women's Retreat' in the memo line or through the church website. For scholarships to pay for the retreat, just email Fr. Kirtley with the request to 'attend the women's retreat' at FrKirtley@trinityparishde.org.
We hope you can join us!

Let’s get started planning for The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on
May 2nd!
| |
It’s a fantastic fundraiser for Friendship House, and every donation in their name goes straight to them. Let’s keep up the great work Trinity Parish has been doing to support Friendship House.
Trinity Parish is on the lookout for a Team Captain for this year’s walk. The role involves getting parishioners to sign up to walk and/or donate and then organizing everyone to walk together! Friendship House will provide the materials and instructions.
Join your fellow Trinity Parish members for some fun and togetherness for a wonderful cause. If you have any questions, please see Sarah Berninger or Brian Embriani.
