Wednesdays

Women’s Bible and Book Study

Beginning on Wednesday, March 22nd, we are beginning a 6 week study featuring Adam Hamilton's DVD and text entitled "Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts, and Outlaws".

In this first century portrait of Jesus, we find stories of Jesus' ministry with ordinary, unexpected people. They weren't perfect. Many of them were struggling and didn't have their acts together. Whoever they were, Jesus brought the good news of God's kingdom to those who most needed to hear it. That includes you, and me, and those we love.

Come join us at 10:00 am on Wednesdays for this hopeful, and inspiring word for our lives today. Even if you will not be available all 6 weeks, please come as you are available.

When: Wednesdays (Beginning March 22nd) at 10:00 am the Church

The Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan

The story of a rare friendship, forged in the aftermath of war and tested over the next thirty-five years in ways that neither could imagine. Sandy Tolan brings the Israeli-Palestinian conflict down to its most human level, suggesting that even amid the bleakest political realities there exist stories of hope and reconciliation.

This week we are continuing our Lenten Series, "Learning to Live Inside Out." We will learn this week that we can all be a hero to someone else as we get a pep talk from "Kid President" (see video we will show in class here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgF1Enrgo2g). This will lead us into our scriptures for this week, both of which talk about God "upending the status quo." We will learn about how God chose a small boy who was the youngest in his family to lead his people (David) and how Jesus used mud to heal a blind man. God used both of these people to show love and compassion to the world. We will talk about how we are all called to be "heros" by showing love to those around us, in small and big ways.

Confirmation Sunday

Confirmation Sunday is April 16th. Please join us at 10am as we welcome four new members into our church family.

Schedule Notes

There will be no youth group April 2nd (But you won't want to miss the pancake breakfast at 11am that day!) or April 9th (Easter). With the business of April we will also not have a game night that month. But we will be back in May for another night of fun an fellowship.

Preschool
Contact: Sharon Paige [email protected]

This week will be unforgettable with the letter ”U”. Unicorn games, underwater animals, underwear books, umbrella matching and a little ukulele playing might be in order. Snacks will include upside down muffins, ugli fruit, and a special unicorn fruit snack.  Does anyone have a “Unicycle for our gym time? Creation Station, our interactive bible room, might get a little sad on Wednesday with Pastor Bill as the children learn about “Good Friday” and that Jesus died on the cross. Our lesson will focus on the great love of Jesus and forgiveness.

The Preschool will be on Spring Break from Monday, March 27th through Monday, April 3rd. School will resume on Tuesday, April 4th.

Our Mission Project for March was collecting items from their “Wish List” for the Ronald McDonald House at Children’s Hospital. Our families brought in over 75 items which included playing cards, Uno cards, small activity books, word search, crosswords, and sudoku books. We are excited to “Give Back” to this wonderful organization helping families during their difficult family medical treatments. All items were delivered just in time to help them fill Easter Baskets.

Registration for our 2023/2024 school year has begun! Please help us advertise our preschool by taking a flyer to your place of employment, Mother’s Group, or to your neighborhood friends with children. Don’t forget to LIKE us on Facebook to help spread the word.
