March 20, 2020 – COVID-19 Update
Town of Sahuarita
Communication sent on behalf of the Quail Creek Country Club Property Owners Association Board of Directors.
The Town of Sahuarita is putting precautionary measures in place to mitigate the danger to public health posed by the COVID-19 (Corona Virus), which was recently discovered present in unincorporated Pima County.

IT IS PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED, that in order to flatten the curve of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, keep our hospitals from becoming overwhelmed, and maximize available funding, as follows:

  1. Public gathering places, such as bars, libraries, gyms, and other places where groups in excess of 10 congregate, are asked to take measures to implement social distancing; and
  2. All restaurants, food courts, cafes, coffehouses, retail food facilities, and other similar businesses and establishments are asked to take measures to implement social distancing, and increase the use of delivery service, window service, drive-through service, or drive-up service, and to use precautions in doing so to mitigate the potential transmission of COVID-19, including social distancing; and
  3. Members of the public are urged to
  • use social distancing and avoid groups of ten or more people;
  • avoid contact with those with elevated risks associated with COVID-19; and
  • stay home and contact your medical provider if you or others in your household feel sick; and
  • stay home and away from other people if you are an older person and/or you have a serious underlying condition that can put you at increased risk (for example, a condition that impairs your lung or heart function or weakens your immune system); and
  • practice good personal hygiene, such as regularly washing your hands, avoid touching your face, sneezing into a tissue or the inside of your elbow, and frequently disinfecting.

  • Essential services such as grocery, retail, hospitals, and gas stations will remain open in Sahuarita
  • The Town asks that residents please DO NOT hoard supplies. Supply chains are intact and functioning well.
  • Town Hall will remain open. However, we ask that if you have business to conduct at town hall, such as paying a bill, you explore options for conducting that business online or over the phone. You can call our main switchboard (520-822-8800) to find out what your options might be or visit sahuaritaaz.gov/COVID-19.
  • The town asks residents to observe the following recommendations from the CDC
  • A COVID-19 hotline has been set up to answer any questions from the public and healthcare providers about testing, symptoms, and any other questions you have about the virus. Call 1-844-542-8201 (State) to reach a health care professional.
