FABULOUS FOLDS
We are all collectors of clever ways to transform pieces of paper into clever, structural forms. Our March meeting will add four terrific folds to your repertoire:
The Puffy Pentagon Box
a festive gift box for small treasures
The Origami Message Box
a perfect vessel for that special note
The Pyramid Box
a structured gift box with an Asian flair
The Envelope Pocket
(not pictured)
an over-sized envelope transformed into a multi-pocketed page
The magic of these folds will be introduced by Laurel Herbeck, Lois Henderson, Margo Klass, and Oralee Nudson.
Come to the meeting ready to make models of all four structures.
For this activity you will need to bring: c
utting mat, X-Acto knife, ruler, bone folder, awl, scissors, pencil, and graduated metal edges (optional).
BOOK EXCHANGE THEME FOR MARCH
This month's book exchange is "Recycled, Repurposed" and will feature books made from materials which have been repurposed or recycled. So dig out those recycled materials you have been collecting and join us for the exchange!
As always, the book exchange is optional. For inspiration, see photos of the "Calendar" books exchanged at the January meeting here.

What would you like to teach?...w
hat would you like to learn?
We want your ideas for programs that interest and educate our members:
new structures or folds, decorative paper methods, binding techniques, or other paper/book art skills. We can develop these ideas for future Guild meetings, workshops, or "Studio Sessions" (our newest program in our NBG studio, with more information to come soon).
Contact Laurel Herbeck, Education Committee Chair with your
ideas here!
