A Word from the Board - Wendy Taylor-Santucci

The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce was started in 1922 (95 years ago), to provide a resource to the growing business community of our small town. A lot has changed in the world since then, but the mission of the Chamber has basically been the same, to be a resource to the business community of our now much larger town.

As a member of the Industrial Committee, it is our focus to provide resources to the Industrial business in St. Charles. One of the ways that we try to accomplish this is to help expose these businesses to the community by sponsoring two industrial tours a year.

This year the Industrial Committee's first tour of 2016 is of the Industrial Arts program for the middle schoolers in District 303. The Committee has invited many of the Industrial business owners to come and see how District 303 is culturing a new generation of engineers and mechanical minds to help our Industrial businesses find their most important resource, skilled labor, here in St. Charles.

The second tour this year will be at Clarke Environmental later this year. If you are interested in attending one of the Industrial tours or if you represent one of the Industrial businesses in St. Charles and you would like to sponsor a tour, please contact the Chamber!

The St. Charles Chamber is here as your resource, help us help you by asking questions, making suggestions, and getting involved!

BMO Harris Bank

BMO Harris rolls out New Small Business Bundle

BMO Harris Bank, with more than 135 years of experience and approximately 564 branches, mainly in the Midwest including the Chicagoland area, continues to deliver individualized solutions to small business clients in the Fox Valley and St. Charles area.

As part of its commitment to meeting the diverse needs of business owners in all Chicagoland communities, BMO Harris has designed a package of products and services tailored specifically for small to medium -sized businesses in the Fox Valley area.  The package includes special offers,  including fee waivers,  discounts, or bonuses on small business products such as business credit cards,  business loans,   Merchant Services payment processing, payroll services, business bill pay and mobile banking and overdraft protection services.  The entire package adds up to substantial savings that a client can, in turn, re-invest in his or her business.

Bill Johnson, Market President of BMO Harris Bank's St. Charles market, feels that by addressing the needs of small and medium -sized businesses, the bank is filling a large gap that many competitors have missed, or have chosen not to focus on.

"The feedback we continue to receive from business owners, especially in the St. Charles market, tends to fall into one of two categories:  Either their current bank of many years, sometimes decades, has lost interest in serving their unique business needs, or their needs just aren't being met by their current bank," says Johnson.

BMO Harris' local small business team includes a group of long time banking veterans consisting of Mike Hides, Shakeel Khan, Andy Montemayor, Malik Hashwani, and Laura Grabavoy.

BMO Harris prides itself on serving all segments of the marketplace.  According to Hides, the market's Business Banker, "We're just as excited to work with a small business that has only been open for one year as we are to work with an established, larger business.  In either case we can deliver customized solutions to meet the needs of that particular business and owner. "

In addition, BMO Harris can meet the specialized needs of the Hispanic-owned businesses by leveraging its Latino Banking program launched originally in 1999.

With four fully operational branches in St. Charles and more than 20 in the greater Fox Valley area, offering business clients a vast spectrum of personal, wealth management,  Latino Banking and business banking services, BMO Harris Bank has positioned itself as a leading financial institution in the Greater St. Charles market.

McNally's Helps Jurgovan Family With New Furnace

As part of giving back this season, McNally's Heating and Cooling decided to award a deserving Fox Valley area family in need a new high efficiency furnace and free installation.
After receiving numerous nominations, The Jurgovan Family of South Elgin was chosen.

Mother, Amanda couldn't have been more excited when she got the news. "Our old furnace is on the fritz.  The auto fan isn't working, so we are running it continuously in order for it to blow hot air which drives up both our electric and gas bills."
"We are also a one income family and with our pocketbook lighter during the holidays, this couldn't have happened at a better time." I'm so appreciative of this gift for my family and for my online support group of "Mom Friends" on Facebook for nominating me."
Amanda and husband Eric's daughter McKenna was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) at 9 months old and given 1 year to live. Amanda quit working to take care of her full time and with the help of great doctors, she is now 4 years old and doing well. The Jurgovan's also have a daughter Emery who is 19 months old.
"We are grateful to be helping out one of our neighbors in need here in the Fox Valley and would like to thank everyone for the nominations that helped us get this furnace in the right family's hands."....Brian McNally, Owner of McNally's Heating and Cooling.
