Blossom Burst.
Recent warm weather indicates that our buds are showing faint signs of 'bud swell.
Over the winter months - buds are small, compact, dark in color and very hard. Each hunkered down close to the branch or twig they've sprouted from during previous growing cycle.
Now, these buds are indicating a slight softening, lighter coloration, getting rounder and fuller which means the baby blossoms inside are positioning for bloom. The race to harvest is about to begin!

This simple, healthful dessert was initially created for an after school cooking program for young children (Kids in the Kitchen) for which we participated last Fall. This dessert is one that kids could make themselves as a yummy and healthy after school snack.
Our pear spread, as a natural sweetener, gives the sweet flavor that kids of all ages, love. Parfait perfection from our very own chef of French cuisine, Annabel.
