Annual Meeting Highlight
Join Our Speed Mentoring Session

Do you have a passion for helping future innovation leaders advance their careers?  If so, we invite you to serve as a mentor for our first speed mentoring event to be held at the Annual Meeting in Boston.  The purpose of speed mentoring is to provide time-efficient networking focusing on quick hit information in the form of a discussion of your professional strengths and challenges.  Here are the requirements to participate:
  • Attend the speed mentoring event on Wednesday, May 10, from 5 - 6 pm at the Annual Meeting.
  • Mentees will pre-submit questions the week prior to the meeting and we ask that you take a few minutes to read through the questions and prepare your responses.
  • Communicate with mentees after the meeting that have follow-up questions.
If you're interested or if you have any questions, please contact Erika Toman

Assessing the Value of User Experience
Design in Industrial R&D
Antonietta Grasso
Xerox Research Centre Europe

Traditional R&D processes do not provide the agility required today. However, the challenge that research organizations have with being 'lean' is the short horizon it entails. Examine examples of an approach that connects technological research with users and business value in a lean fashion while pursuing long-term research strategies.

Join Antonietta's session at the 2017 Annual Meeting in Boston, MA.
Can We Borrow Your Young Brains?

Members of our latest strategic research initiatives, Recruiting and Retaining Early Career Technical Talent, are looking to diversify their project team with some additional young, High Potential brains. Between now and the Member Summit in October, the group will be conducting case studies on companies that are ahead of the curve in recruiting and retaining the next generation of talent and surveying that next generation on that group's wants and needs.  At the end, IRI members will get practical tips on how to recruit and retain the next generation of R&D leaders.

For more details, contact Lee Green.
