Federal Budget Update
On March 16th, President Trump released a budget blueprint that proposes $6.2 billion in cuts to HUD funding. Overall, these cuts represent a 13.2% decrease in funding compared to FY16 levels. Read more
NYS Budget Update
The Assembly and Senate approved their one-house budgets, which serve as their spending proposals in response to the executive budget released in January.  Read more
Updates
Eric Rosenbaum has been selected as Chief Executive Officer of both Lantern Organization and Lantern Community Services (Lantern), effective April 17th, 2017. Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Rosenbaum was Chief Operating Officer for Women In Need (WIN). 

Bret Garwood joined Home Leasing LLC as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Home Leasing, Mr. Garwood was the Senior Vice President for Multifamily Programs for New York State Homes and Community Renewal.

On March 10th, Elizabeth Strojan became HDC's Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. Prior to joining HDC, Ms. Strojan was Program Director, Public Policy & External Affairs at Enterprise Community Partners.

The Network's Executive Director Laura Mascuch penned a piece in City & State's Slant "A Prescription Ben Carson Can Write on Homelessness."
