march2017commupdate Community Outreach Update

This year The Board has decided to donate $1,000 to the Art Department of independence High School. Independence High is a small high school located in Diamond Springs. It is a unique high school geared to those students who may be at risk of not graduating.

Jen Tomei, the art teacher, was unable to attend our February Meeting due to a family event. She was absolutely thrilled when I spoke with her about receiving this donation. She thought this money would best go for the purchase of a camera, glass beads and/or tools. She could not thank us enough for our generous gift. Ms. Tomoei will be attending our March 19th meeting when we will present her with our check.

PAA wishes to thank all of you who have donated so generously to our Community Outreach Program. Please know that we DO make a difference!

Looking forward to spring and upcoming 2017 PAA events!

As we move into the planning stages of these annual events (Membership Show, Mother Lode Show, Studio Tour), I want to thank all of the wonderful dedicated volunteers that have made these events possible throughout the years. Everything PAA accomplishes would not happen without volunteers.

Do you have a little time to help with one or two of the many tasks it takes to put on these events and others? The PAA Board and committee chairs welcome your participation at any level. You would have lots of support and it is a great way to get to know other talented artists and make a difference in how PAA meets its mission of promoting visual arts in the local community.

I look forward to getting to know you,

Linda Heath Clark
