March 2018
Book Your Professional Learning Sessions Now for the 2018-19 School Year!

Our professional learning opportunities support the diverse needs of schools and help develop healthy school communities through a Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. Here are a few of our most popular sessions:

Creating a Community of (Staff) Wellness
Wellness is an integral part of a school community as healthy students are better learners.  Join us for an engaging session on understanding the dynamic dimensions of wellness, areas of growth within your personal and workplace wellness, and actionable steps to create a community of wellness within your school.

Activity Permissive Learning Environments: Featuring Don't Walk in the Hallway
With ample evidence to verify that learning and movement are indeed connected, now more than ever, we have an opportunity to change what we do and how we do it. Explore why activity permissive learning environments are a necessary consideration in school communities, and learn what you can do to promote movement within your school.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) - Finding Connections in the Classroom
In this interactive session, we explore the five competencies of social emotional learning and how these skills help to support student academics and relationships. Learn practical classroom activities that tie back to SEL competencies, explore effective implementation strategies and acknowledge what your school may already be doing.

Ever Active Schools at 2018 Teachers' Conventions

Over the past month, we've connected with thousands of teachers through our Health and Wellness Symposiums at Teachers' Conventions across the province. These professional learning opportunities provide teachers with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to implement new and innovative ideas in their teaching practice.

Are you one of the thousands of teachers across Alberta who attended one of our Health and Wellness Symposiums at Teachers' Convention this year? We'd love to have your feedback on this new initiative!

Please visit our website to complete an event questionnaire and view session highlights. Even if you didn't make it to one of our symposiums, you can still check out highlights from our sessions all across the province!
