Abby Malcolm, TA '15, Speaks to Upper School Students
Abby Malcolm, TA '15, recently spoke to the10th through 12th grade students as part of a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) series on teens & mental health. Abby's talk followed a presentation the week before by Jodi Beland from the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation, which is a non-profit dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding teen mental illness.
Abby talked to the students about her experiences as a person with a mental health diagnosis. Her openness with the students, & her positive attitude, continued the dialogue about how mental illness can affect anyone, & what to do to get support for yourself or for a friend. We're thankful to Abby for her willingness to share her story, & to be a positive role model for current TA students!
