A Message From Our President
Welcome to March! Spring is in the air, and it is almost time for spring break! Speaking of breaks, registration for
Camp I CAN, our popular summer camp, begins this month on March 19th. It's a wonderful program and a great way to spend a week of summer break. See below to get more information about how to register.
Be sure to join us on Friday, March 30th, as we celebrate
Autism Awareness Night with the San Diego Gulls! All seats purchased through our link will be in a special section near a quiet area and our resource table. We hope you can join us as we cheer on our home town team!
One thing March means is that April is around the corner! Join us during Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month at all of our regularly scheduled events. In addition, we will be having two special events in April. First is our Spring
Family Camp Weekend at beautiful Camp Marston in mountains of Julian, which will take place on the weekend of April 13th-15th. You will also want to save the date for our biggest fundraiser of the year,
Splash for Cash, which will be held on Sunday, April 29th. You won't want to miss this event, our biggest pool party of the year! Swim if you like or just enjoy breakfast and lunch prepared by our favorite San Diego firefighters, a fabulous silent auction, and several exciting special guests! And all participants who fundraise $250 or more get priority registration for
Surf Camp at Splash. I hope to see you there!
Thanks so much,
Amy Munera

As an organization,100% of the dollars raised by NFAR stays in San Diego to help our community, providing funding for autism treatment programs, vocational training for young adults, parent programs, educational workshops, and funding to hundreds of local classrooms. We had another wonderful Sunday at the Mission Valley Library on February 25th! Families enjoyed a sensory-friendly program featuring
SNAPOLOGY San Diego
, a company that provides hands-on LEGO® learning activities that engage children's creativity. Patrons enjoyed a morning full of creativity and then relaxed in the beautiful library space before the doors opened to the public. Thanks again to the amazing staff at the Mission Valley library for making this possible - stay tuned for future Sensory Sunday events!
