Charity & Truth Gala Success
Resurrection parents, alumnae and supporters attended our annual dinner auction, the Charity & Truth Gala, on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Thank you to our chair couple, Susan and Steve Besch, our emcee, Vanessa Torres '03, our special guest, Architect Adam Reed Tucker, and all of our committee members and volunteers. The evening featured dinner, silent and live auction items, raffles, entertainment and the presentation of the school's two most prestigious awards, the Renaissance Award to alumna, artist and illustrator Jennifer Kohnke '73 and the Charity & Truth Award to former Resurrection teacher, administrator, principal and board member Kathy Rzany.

Res Musicians Perform, Compete & Shine
Congratulations to the Resurrection/Notre Dame High School Concert Band and Jazz Band which both competed at the Midwest Band Competition on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Congratulations also to the fourteen Resurrection Choir members (a combination of Concert Choir and Liturgical Choir members) who represented the Tri-M (Modern Music Masters) Music Honor Society at the Resurrection Gala on February 24, 2018.
Good luck to the four members of the Resurrection Concert Choir and the four members of the Resurrection Chamber Orchestra who will participate in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest at Waukegan High School on March 3, 2018!
Registration for Current Students
Registration is underway for the 2018-19 school year.
Students in the Classes of 2019, 2020 and 2021 received registration materials during seminar and learned about the registration process. Students had until February 28, 2018 to submit their registrations for the 2018-2019 school year via Schoology. Next week, students will receive printed copies of their registrations to bring home for parent/guardian signatures which must be returned by Friday, March 9, 2018.

Registration for Class of 2022 Students
On Monday, March 12, 2018, Class of 2022 students and parents will meet with a member of Resurrection's staff to register for classes. Registration materials and appointment time will be mailed to incoming families in advance.
Resurrection Theatre Presents
A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's best-selling novels, the play was conceived for the stage by directors Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, and written by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker. Peter and the Starcatcher provides a humorous and fantastical backstory for the beloved character of Peter Pan and his arch-nemesis Captain Hook.

As information is provided to us, it will be shared with Resurrection students (including incoming freshmen) who are interested in trying out for dance or cheerleading at Resurrection, Notre Dame College Prep or St. Patrick's High School.

7th Grade "Experience Res" Day
NEW DATE! Tuesday, April 3, 2018
8 am to 3 pm
As visitors, 7th graders will have the opportunity to rotate through all academic areas to get a taste of life at Resurrection. Resurrection students will be out of school to allow the 7th grade visiting students time to explore classes together. Resurrection follows a block schedule - with classes meeting for 80 minutes every other day - the 7th grade "Experience Res" Day provides an overview of all academic areas with shorter class times.

Bandits Basketball and Bowling seasons were awesome!
The Winter Athletic Banquet was held on February 22, 2018, at White Eagle Banquets in Niles to celebrate the Bandits Basketball and Bowling teams.
Ten juniors and seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher at the Varsity level of competition were awarded the GCAC/MCAC All-Conference Academic Award. Six student-athletes were recognized and chosen by the coaches of the GCAC for their exemplary athletic ability at the Varsity level.

Registration for summer school courses is open.
Summer course offerings for current students include Health and Speech for students who want to free up time in their schedule during the regular school year.
Payment is due at the time of registration and enrollment is capped at 25 students per section.
A session closes once the maximum number of students has been reached.
