Lisa and Her Family Move Into Their New Home!
Lisa and her children have happily moved into their new home after graduating
from Family Promise's shelter program.Through perseverance, patience and trust,
they are now living independently and have created a loving home to call their own!

The staff at Family Promise wishes Lisa and her children much success and many wonderful memories in their new home and along their journey of self-sufficiency!

A special thank you to the caring families and individuals
who donated all of Lisa's furniture!
Candace receives a car!
Shelter graduate, Candace, received her own car
this month! Providing a need such as a car to Candace
will make a huge impact on her quality of life
and will create opportunities for her and her family.

In Candace's own words:
A New Partnership
Wireless Telecom Group , Parsippany, has partnered with Family Promise in donating many needed items for shelter families throughout the coming year. Maria Fodali, Coordinator of Outreach Programs, presented Family Promise's program to more than 100 employees who will participate in this partnership. We are grateful and excited
to work with Wireless Telecom in meeting the needs of our guests!
What's Cooking?

Families in the Community Support Program were treated to home-cooked meals and dessert from Shannon, a volunteer who previously cooked for the families with her Girl Scout troop, and is now continuing the service on her own. Thank you, Shannon, for making so much delicious food and for making many families feel so special!
Thank you to Schindler Elevator Company!

Several employees from Schindler Elevator Company came out to the day center to
lend a hand to Family Promise. Laurie received help with resume preparation, and
the rest of the gang spent the afternoon cleaning, sorting and organizing. They all
had fun and and we are grateful for the extra help!
Meet the People of
Morris County

Name:   Gisell Collazos

Role with Family Promise:  Case Manager, Community Support Programs

Fun fact:  I love crafting and like to make my own bracelets.

How your friends describe you:  Focused, shy, and caring

What you like most about working with Family Promise: I like being able to witness my guest's success up close; whether it is a guest passing their written driver’s test while in the Emergency Shelter Program, to guests driving away from the same emergency shelter in their own vehicle to their new permanent home.
Family Promise's Family is Growing!

Dominique Tornabe, Director of Development & Community Relations, and her husband and daughter welcome baby Joseph into
their family!

Earlier this month, the Family Promise staff threw Dominique a baby shower and surprised her with gifts, good food and love! Many blessings to Dominique and her family as they enjoy their
time together!
Special Donation Request

Families moving into new homes are in need of groceries, but often have no car or means of getting to a store. The goal is to stock the families' refrigerators on move-in day to alleviate that burden from the family. The best way to donate groceries is through grocery store gift cards. Please call 973.998.0820
if you are interested in donating.
Any amount is appreciated!

Move That Truck!

Making Moves Matter is in need of extra hands to help move graduates out of shelter and into homes.
