Time to say goodbye...
Message from Denean Tomlin, President of WCDIA

After a very challenging and exciting 10 years supporting the aerospace, defence and security industries leading WestDef and WCDIA, I am stepping down as President of our Industry Association. My last day with WCDIA will be April 5, 2019. Our Chairman Doug Brown supported by our Project Manger Kacie Gavinchuk will work closely with the Board and volunteers to keep the ship sailing. I thank them all for the support and commitment to the WCDIA during my time leading the charge.

Reflecting back over the many activities, events and conferences our team has produced and participated in, I am proud to say we have been able to keep the voice of the west active and all levels of industry, government and academia engaged. There are so many successes to celebrate! I thank all who have supported the WCDIA and I encourage you to keep doing so through membership, sponsorship, event participation and networking.

I look forward to staying connected with everyone I have met over the years and I am honoured to be continuing to support this industry in my new role. I will be taking on a new challenge as the ITB/Offsets Manager for Peraton Canada starting April 8, 2019, you will find my new contact information on Linked-In soon.

I wish you all continued success in your endeavours...stay in touch!

Kindest regards,
Denean Tomlin

WCDIA has completed another successful "Getting in the Game" workshop which was held last week at the Alberta Innovates location in Edmonton.

We would like to thank all the participating companies, prime contractors, presenters and our sponsors - ATB Financial and Alberta Innovates, for helping us put on this workshop and help educate SMB's on doing business in the Defence Industry.

Our next workshop will be held as a plenary to the WestDef Conference held in Calgary in June 2019.

We look forward to seeing you there!
