Charity & Truth Gala Success
We appreciate all who attended the Gala, who donated auction items and to all who bid on our auction items. Thank you to everyone who helped to create great memories as we raised funds for the ongoing support our students at Resurrection!




Musicians Compete
Resurrection Chamber Orchestra students will compete at the IHSA Music Competition on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Reavis High School in Burbank. Good luck to the following students: Nikolina Asania '20 (flute), Yesemia Guevara '19 (flute), Angela Christie '19 (violin) and Jenna George '19 (cello).  Good luck to these students as they compete on Saturday!

Good luck to all of our Spring Sports tryouts are wrapping up and track & field, lacrosse, softball, soccer and waterpolo events are gearing up for a great season. Good luck, Bandits!

Spring Sports Parent Meeting - the parent meeting for parents with student-athletes playing a spring sport will be Monday, March 4 at 6 pm. 

Congratulations to our Basketball and Bowling teams on a successful winter season! 
The Winter Sports Banquet will be held March 5 at 7:30 pm at White Eagle Banquets.



Summer Athletic Camps registration is now open! 

Basketball, Dance, Soccer, Softball, Running, Tennis, and Volleyball camps are available for girls entering grades 4 to 12.

Health & Wellness Reminders

Cold & Flu Season: As we move toward spring, influenza season is still a concern for us here in Chicago. Frequent hand washing and adequate rest and nutrition are key preventive measures. Parents, if your daughter has flu symptoms, please  keep her home and seek early medical care. Remember to call the Resurrection Attendance Office at 773.775.6616 Ext 118.  Check out tips from the IL Department of Public Health HERE

Teen Sexting:  According to a JAMA Pediatrics report it was found that roughly 15% of teenagers send revealing photos and videos (sexts) and 28% receive them. Parents are encouraged to check out this article about discussing this issue with your teen.

Summer 2020 Costa Rica Trip 
Student/Parent Information Meeting
Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 6:30 pm 


A student/parent informational meeting will be held on March 5 at 6:30 pm regarding the Summer 2020 Costa Rica Trip (June 15-23, 2020) that will be sponsored by Resurrection College Prep. The trip is open to the Classes of 2021 and 2022.  Please see the preliminary itinerary as well as the trip website link . If you have any questions or are unable to attend the March 5th meeting, please email Ms Ortiz at  eortiz@reshs.org .


Winter/Spring 2019 Adult Lenten Spirituality Course
The Way of the Cross for Modern Times
Tuesdays, March 5, 19 & April 2, 2019
6:30 pm, every other Tuesday at Resurrection

Faculty member Mr. Mike Longo offers a fall and spring adult enrichment course each year. The winter/spring 2019 Adult Lenten Spirituality course, entitled
The Way of the Cross for Modern Times, will explore the stations of the cross as a Lenten reflection on our personal, societal and economic choices. The cost of the course is $50 and participants can register by contacting Alisa Martorano at amartorano@reshs.org or 773.775.6616 Ext 142.


2019-20 Registration 

The $240 fee is to be paid in the office by March 8 . Students are in the process of receiving printed copies of their registrations to bring home for parent/guardian signatures.  Signed registration forms must be returned to Resurrection by the following dates: for juniors forms were due by February 25; for sophomores by March 1; and for freshmen by March 8.

Resurrection Athletic Boosters Trivia Night
Friday, March 8, 2019
Doors Open at 6:30 pm ~  Contest Begins at 7:00 pm 

Participants must be 21+
Entry fee per person ~ $25 ~  Up to 8 players per team 

Teams may bring their own snacks and appetizers and should be prepared for an evening of friendly  competition to raise funds in support of the  Resurrection College Prep Athletic Program.

A Cash Bar will be available.

7th grade girls are invited to experience a day in the life of a Resurrection student on Friday, April 12 from 8 am to 3 pm.   7th graders are invited to come for a day of abbreviated classes to explore our academic environment. Lunch will be provided.
