Addison & Ellsworth

Addison and Ellsworth --This year we will be celebrating the 20th Annual Walk for Life in Addison, on Saturday, May 16 and the 2nd Annual Walk For Life in Ellsworth on Saturday, May 23. Both Walks will be a great time to come together with neighbors and friends to usher in the coming summer season, get fit, raise funds to help those with a cancer diagnosis and enjoy the community gatherings.

The 20th Annual Beth C. Wright Walk For Life in Addison's registration will begin at 8 am and will illuminate the selfless vision of a very special woman, Beth C. Wright. Beth’s desire to help ease the burden of those whose lives were affected by cancer, while she was battling the disease herself, has turned into a living vision that has lived on and grown exponentially over the past two decades. The Beth C. Wright Center is what it is today because of the commitment through the years of cancer survivors, their families, friends, neighbors, community members and volunteers in both Washington and Hancock Counties. The Walk For Life has been the anchor on this voyage carrying Beth’s vision into the future. Let’s celebrate the sense of excitement and hope that pervaded the first Walk For Life in May 2001 this year and into the future.

Walkers are key to making the WALK FOR LIFE a success. We are encouraging people to form teams of at least five people. We will give special recognition to each team raising $500 or more by including the team name on the back of our 20th Annual Beth C. Wright Walk For Life T-shirt.

Please sign your team up and let us know your total money raised by May 4, 2020 to get your team name on the T-shirt.   All donations from the Walk will have an immediate impact and will be used locally in Washington and Hancock Counties.
