LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR
Govs,

What a whirlwind week we’ve had! Life sure can turn on a dime, but rest assured Distance Education is here to help you. The digital learning space can be both intimidating and exciting, but when we have such a short amount of time to take an entire university online, it can be more intimidating than exciting. Luckily, we always try to do everything as a team, it’s why APSU is so special. We hear President White talk about how special APSU is all the time, and I think it’s quite obvious during these times how right she is.

In the last week I’ve seen departments come together in unprecedented ways. I’ve seen people move mountains. I’ve seen worry and panic behind eyes but smiles on faces and an eager and positive attitude to just get the task list done so that we can do what we need to do; for our students, and for each other. I continue to be blown away by the caliber of professionalism and dedication of this group of people I get to work with, and I am so grateful to be a Gov. I want you to know that Distance Education is here to support you in any way that we can. Please lean on us. The digital learning space is our home, and we will work hard to make it as inviting as possible for anyone that may be uneasy and unsure. For those that are confident in this space, we welcome the partnership!

Let’s work together to lift our community up!

Socially Distant,

Amor Moran
