special? They both are tripawds! In other words, they have a leg up when it comes

to courage and spirit. They're still living life to the fullest, and as you can see from

the pictures, their very happy! They're very inspiring because they don't let it

bring them down; a wonderful quality to have to become a therapy dog.

Heartbreak for dog owners: Popular breed more prone now to cancer

The American Kennel Club lists golden retrievers as the third most popular breed in the United States, just behind Labrador retrievers and German shepherds.

"Golden retrievers naturally love people," said Pauline Hoegler, owner of Golden Opportunities for Independence in Walpole, which raises the breed to serve as help dogs.

And the feeling is apparently mutual.
