North U., the training division of North Sails, will be conducting a Sail Trim Seminar to offer sailors in the Texas Gulf Coast region the opportunity to elevate their sail trimming skills. This one-day classroom seminar will cover topics in Racing & Winning, Upwind Sail Trimming, Genoa Trimming, Mainsail Trimming, Helmsmanship, Trim Solutions, Spinnaker Trimming, Asymmetrical Spinnaker Trimming, Wing & Wing Trimming, and more... Kick your speed up a notch at the North U Sail Trim Seminar! 
Spinnaker & Sail Trimming Clinic

Learn how to hoist, trim and douse spinnakers (both asymmetrical & symmetrical) and practice your newly learned tactical sail trim techniques at this hands-on, on-the-water Clinic.

Come check-out our newly added sail boats! We have 3 new vessels added to our fleet. Visit our facility, board our sailing fleet and take the opportunity to sail on 3 different boats in one day! Certified sailors can get checked out on each boat's operations in preparation for their own bareboat charters, or just sit back and relax as our Captains take you on a 2-hour cruise. 
Congratulations to Capt. Jon Jones on earning ASA Outstanding Instructor of the Year, three years in a roll!

Of the 2258 ASA Instructors who had active status in 2019, The top 31 earned "Instructor of the Year" (top 1.4%). ). Capt. Jon has earned "Instructor of the Year" in 2017, 2018 and now, 2019. He been sailing for 27 years, and has been teaching at South Coast Sailing Adventures for 4 years. He has his certification to teach Basic Keel Boat, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering, Coastal Navigation, Advanced Coastal Cruising, and is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain. We are honored to have him as one of our beloved instructors. Way to go Capt. Jon!
