Together We Respond: A Message Regarding COVID-19
|
|
We, the ALSO Underserved TA Team, recognize this is a challenging time for all of us, and especially for members of vulnerable and underserved populations, and those who help them. We are here with you and for you -- in partnership -- to continue to support your efforts to effectively reach and serve survivors in underserved populations in your community.
As we move to engaging in “acts of mass cooperation, in efforts to protect the collective whole” (Dr. Lindsay Jernigan) social distancing, virtual check ins, and program adjustments, creating and sustaining a culture and community of care continues to be of the utmost importance, especially now.
Please be assured that during this unique time our work assisting grantee organizations will continue! The ALSO Underserved TA Team and our OVW Program Specialist, Kara Moller, are telecommuting, as is the rest of the OVW. We are here to answer any questions you have and/or troubleshoot issues, including those related to the situation we find ourselves as a global community. We encourage you to continue to reach out to your ALSO TA Point-of-Contact and Kara (
Kara.Moller@usdoj.gov
) as the need arises.
As our agency mission states: ALSO works in partnership with people living in risk of violence to promote safer streets and homes; we will continue to center this as needs evolve and change. As more information becomes available, we will be sharing any and all updates with you. Let's hope for the best, and continue to manage in the very best ways that we can.
We are in this together!
