Greetings!
Good Afternoon Tutors:
The suspension of face-to-face tutoring means that we have to adapt tutoring practices. It is challenging to tutor remotely, especially with students who have low literacy levels and are not comfortable using instructional technology. During this time, we encourage you to stay in contact with your student via phone calls, text messaging, Skype and/or FaceTime. If your student is comfortable using a website(s) for language learning, encourage them to continue to do so. To the extent feasible, we hope and want students to continue with English practice and to learn remotely with you, and if possible, independently. During the next few weeks, I will periodically send suggested websites for you and your student to use.
