What is your BOLD story? The BOLD 5 class hosted a storytelling event on Friday, March 5th, called Sharing Our Stories. The event uses Cincy Stories' concept of building community through storytelling. Sachika Singh told her story about becoming a leader through practicing empathy. Waly Reyes shared what the American Dream means to him. Mike Beacock had the room laughing with his recounting of a family of bears rummaging through his garbage can on Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg, TN. Stories bring us together, and BOLD is a space where we hope to build, like Cincy Stories, a community of listening, understanding, and empathy. The next Sharing Our Stories happy hour will take place on Friday, March 19th, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. If you are interested in attending, email bold@leadershipcouncil.us.
BOLD Spotlight | Maribel Cortes Conde
Maribel Cortes Conde is a Technical Project Manager at GE Aviation. She is a BOLD 4 graduate passionate about education. She is an active member of the GE Aviation Hispanic Forum and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which have been a platform to support Cincinnati Public school kids during the pandemic, where she led the initiative to provide refurbished laptops to ESL students within the school district.
