When things are uncertain, it is natural for people to look to strong leaders for answers, guidance, and best practices.
We all recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused sharp drops in employment and economic growth. We have seen widespread interruption to our economy. This has created unprecedented disruptions to life as we know it, with serious impacts to households, businesses, and state and local governments. Many state and local government agencies are facing huge revenue shortfalls, economic slowdown, overstretched health systems, and a concerned workforce.
A look back in our history
Governments are judged by their ability to provide essential infrastructure during a time of crisis. Public infrastructure includes facilities, structures, equipment, services and institutions that are essential to the economy and quality of life of the nation, region or city.
All of us at the T2 Center want to congratulate Bill Watkins, who has been named Director of Public Works for the Town of Coventry. Bill was a graduate of our first TLP cohort, and we are so very happy for his success.
